Gold-agouti is not really my colour, but some imports have this colour, and I am not too sad about this... :o)

I had never wanted to keep/breed alpacas, but when she was born, I could not resist. :o)
I mated her mother, Heluta Dior (peruvian) to Stanley Pompon (sheltie), and these Polish imports produced "Nice". She is big, strong, has a wonderful coat: in fact she is everything that I expect from an alpaca. Also, she has lots of names in her pedigree which I recpect so much.
She is still young, 4 months old when these photos were taken.

Out two latest litters include some very nice babies in goldagouti-white. This is not really my colour, but I am trying to introduce some lines with Red Rock background to my lines nowadays, so goldagouti is inevitable. :o)

The first three babies are littermates. They are the first babies sired by my Barney Stinson at Brentwood Hotel. (Not bad, I think. :o) Their mother is Westendorp's Miss Saigon.

We lost him today...

Berlusconi was born from my German import Don Altobellos Dreamer zur Teutoburger Senne and January Mist at Brentwood Hotel.

Her mother's pedigree goes back to many generations of Brentwood Hotel cavies, including my first ones, my English (2000.) and Austrian (from 1997.) imports.

He has been the cornerstone of my breeding. He has progeny in several countries, and most of my cavies today can still be traced back to him.

I am very proud of him, and I am very pleased that he will live on in lots of Brentwood Hotel cavies.

I visited the Interzoo trade fair in Germany last weekend. It was a business trip but fun at the same time.
This is the fish which I like most: a Betta (Siamese fighting fish). It comes with various finnage and colour forms, but this one was me favourite definitely:

Sad news from Moscow...

Angel died today. She was very special. Not only because every cavy is special in its way, but because...

... she was from my lilac line of texels, which I had to stop a few yers ago. I am still missing them.

... she was my first export to Russia, so the first Brentwood Hotel ambassador there.

... she was my first cavy sent to Irina Biletskaya. So, she started my friendship to Irina and her Mom Marina Sergeeva, which is a very valuable friendship to me.

Good news from Poland: Fancy Dress at Brentwood Hotel "Kitty" has become Polish Junior Champion! No wonder, if you look at her photo! :o)))

She is from Mr. Mannheim vom Wuschelland and Heluta Dior. Her owner is Daniel Banasiak, Dior Caviary.

These two babies just left to their new owner Ioana (Impala Caviary).

I would have never thought that I would breed alpacas, but when this black-white alpaca boar arrived from Britain, I simply could not miss the chance...
Thanks to his breeder Nikki Matthews (GB) and owner Irina Biletskaya (Ru), Nikki's Black Tie Affair spent a few months at the hotel, and managed to produce a few litters.

Ottó's new Flexi

Cavy Show in Chorzów (Pl)

Erika Juhász and I were invited to judge at the show of the Polish Cavy Club (20-21. March 2010.). In fact, it was 3 shows at the same weekend:
- Erika judging by the EE standards (all breeds),
- Monika Spychala and Daniel Banasiak judging by the Polish standards (longhairs + skinnies),
- me judging by the Hungarian standards (all breeds).

The entries were above 100, the atmosphere was very pleasant as usual, and I had the pleasure to judge wonderful cavies. We spent a long weekend in Poland, we had time to visit Krakow, the beautiful old city in the south of Poland.

My new breed: the young ladies!

These are the young peruvian sows which I kept from my latest litters. They are not perfect, but for me, they represent what I expect from a peruvian.
They are just the first generation of Brentwood Hotel peruvians, so time will tell, how I can work further with this breed.
They are a few months old in these photos.

Well, she is not really from Kansas... She lives in Poland with Dorota Gebska (caviary "Cavia Doro"). She is a golden-white sheltie girl, about 4 months old in these photos. I hope she will develop further nicely, and get some good show results. Also, I hope that Dorota can use her in her chocolate-particolour project successfully.

Zeljko is our new peruvian boar imported from Poland (breeder is Daniel Banasiak).
His father is Pinacolada Gamo Ganador (alpaca, black-white)who produced some very nice offspring in Poland. His mother is Olala Dior (peruvian, black-white), who is from Fort York Albion and Red Rock Jamboree.

His sister Ulala Dior is at "Piki Kvik" (Russia).

Zeljko is an outstanding boar with size and substance. He has the rare deepest black colour. He produced one litter at "Brentwood Hotel", both babies will stay in breeding. Zeljko is staying at "Ducky Piglet" for a while, where he has produced slate blue already.

Judging in Portugal

Last weekend was really intersting again. The Portugese Cavy Club (CAPI: http://capi-portugal.com/ ) invited me to judge on their show which was organized together with AVISAN, a big fair for the pet trade and breeders. The event took place in Santarém, a town north of Lisbon.
I was excited to judge in Portugal, as I had the idea that they are very strong in longhairs. Well, I did not have to be disappointed. There were some very strong classes, with several high quality animals. Grooming of the coat of the longhair breeds is also very professional here. I will write a show report (including details of all winners) soon, which will be available on my site (www.brentwoodhotel.hu).

I would like to thank all organizers of the show as well as all exhibitors who gave me the pleasure to judge their cavies.

Last weekend - another show. It was the Europe Show for poultry, pigeons, ornamental birds, rabbits and... CAVIES! This year, it took place in Nitra (Slovakia), really not far from Budapest, so it was evindent that we can not miss it.

It was nice to see so many cavies, arriving from various parts of Europe, from Sweden, Russia, Great-Britain, Holland, Germany, Austria, and certainly from Czechia and Slovakia.

The best part was to meet our "old" friends and we could meet some new ones, too! :o)

Brentwood Hotel + Impala cavies went to 5 Polish caviaries, and one alpaca baby arrived from Britain (who will stay here temporary).

BEST IN SHOW went to Viby's Amintha, a beautiful tortoiseshell-white sheltie from Sweden (breeder + owner: Lena Tysk). Congratulations!

Impala Evening Hope

Hope is 5 months old now, and I think she has matured into a really nice lady. She has a cute face, fantastic shoulders and topline.

Her father is Impala Antartis from a Dreiländereck - Cavatinas mating. Her mother is Lunabakelo Federica, from my friend Erika, one of the pioneers in longhair tans in Europe.

Hopefully, Hope will bring some tan-tris a bit later. :o)

2. show in November: judging in Brno

I had a very hectic but great day last Saturday. I was invited to judge all longhair breeds in Brno (Czechia). It was the first time I judged by the EE standards, and it was a very interesting experience.
I saw many outstanding cavies, it was a pleasure to comment on them. I met several nice people, too!
I would like to say a big "thank you" to all organizers of the show, all people who helped me so much with my work!

I can show you just a few photos now, but my detailed report with lots of photos will follow on my site soon hopefully.

Maybe my greatest surprize: a black Swiss Teddy. I was very pleased to see such an outstanding cavy in this really difficult breed. Showing quality overall, including her coat (!):

It was nice to hear after the show that he has become Czech Champion with his result I gave him.

Busy November has started...

This November will be quite busy with a cavy show every weekend. We had our show in Budapest last weekend, then comes Brno (Czechia), then the EE show in Nitra (Slovakia), and finally the CAPI show in Portugal.

We had some very nice cavies in Budapest, which was confirmed by our judge Mr. Petr Tejml (Czechia), who judged all breeds by the EE standards on Friday and Sunday.

I was also pleased with the quality of my winners on Sunday. BIS and West of best went to a really promising young US teddy sow Clio of Piglet House (breeder + owner: Rita Hausknecht, Hungary). She won the same titles on Saturday, too.

Litter "A":
It is a very interesting litter, I was waiting for it very long. I used Hundertwasser Design at Brentwood Hotel (a tortie-white texel boar, who is on his way to Turkey now) to Lunabakelo Halloween, a tan-tri sheltie sow.
This litter included my first ever tan-tri baby, Alles Klar at Brentwood Hotel (sheltie boar, black/tan-red-white), and Art Nouveau at Brentwood Hotel, a very nice tortie-white sheltie sow.
Both these babies are offered for sale now.

Litter "B":

They are from Hundertwasser Design at Brentwood Hotel, too.

Their mother is Blue Sky Christina. "Christina" is 75% Hölkenbusch, with names on her pedigree as Octavia, Oklahoma and Opal vom Hölkenbusch, Consulea, Cruz and Ofra vom Dreiländereck and Red Rock Ionikos.

The texel boy is Barney Stinson at Brentwood Hotel, the sheltie girl is Big Girls Don't Cry at Brentwood Hotel. They definitely will stay at the Hotel. :o)

Well, Neshvill at Brentwood Hotel is not a real baby anymore, being 5 months old. But it was the first time I could take his photos today, so here he is! He is from Zero Gravity at Brentwood Hotel and Time to Remember at Brentwood Hotel.

Something very special arrived today: this is Pl.Ch. Xantane Sabine Dior, a peruvian sow.
I saw her a few times in Poland, and I was really happy as she was offered for sale. Her parents are Hubert Dior (from Fort York Albion) and S.Ch. Eternity's Sota, both great representatives of their breed.

I would like to thank her breeder Daniel Banasiak and previous owner Monika Szpychala for this lady.

And also here, I thank all my friends: Ioana, Sabine, Peer, Monika, Daniel, who all helped me with great animals to get a wonderful start in my "new" breed: THE PERUVIAN.

Two beautiful shelties arrived not long ago to strengthen my lines.

The goldagouti-white boar Roverstads Choctaw "Chokki" was born in Denmark, and he is in fact 100% Red Rock (his mother is Red Rock Attica, and his father Christmas Joy von Nitouche is from Red Rock Johnny Canuck and Red Rock Ionia).

His daughter Westendorp's Miss Saigon has very interesting animals on her mother's side. Her mother Westendorp's Miss Macclesfield is from MaJa's One in a Million (father: Red Rock Topas) and Lette vom Hölkenbusch (father: Tacoma vom Dreiländereck !!!)

Many thanks to Joyce Ruesink ("Westendorp") for these wonderful cavies, and to my Polish friends, Aldona and Katarina, for their help in shipping them from Holland to Hungary!

Vamp was a nice baby, and looked to be just the right one to continue my line of dilutes back in 2003. Her parents were Werner von Werne and Tróna Gyöngye Hanka (Hanka came form Brentwood Hotel lines). She had an interesting tri colour: beige-gold-argente/gold/white.

She had a few litters as a youngster, then she lived the quiet life of the oldies for her further years here at the Hotel.

A great surprize - sad news

This is Johnny as we knew him, or Csoki, as his owners knew him.
He was born here 12 years ago, his mother was my Frida. He was a "recicled" dog, as his owners decided not to keep him any longer, when he was a few month old. So, he came back to me. But he was lucky, as he soon found a nice family who kept him well during all his life. He was 12 years old, when he had to put to sleep due to his liver cancer not long ago.
I haven't heard about him for many years, so I was very pleased to receive these photos.

Trip to Salzburg (Austria)

It was time again to make a trip to Austria this August. The "usual" group of cavy breeders ("El Cobaya", "Lunabakelo" + myself) visited a caviary with wonderful Shorthairs. To make the trip even more enjoyable, we spent the day looking around in Salzburg. It is a beautiful old town with an amazing historical city, wonderful parks, and a unique atmosphere. Lots of old trees and various flowers all around.
In the afternoon, we visited the zoo. Maybe, it is not the biggest zoo in the world, but definitely worth visiting. I think it is the most humane zoo in the world. All animals have huge runs (I would rather say: landscapes) with lots of plants, ponds, brooks. No bars at all! The whole area is very well cared for. Fresh water and food for the animals everywhere. Everyhting is clean and tidy. Well done, dear zookeepers!

I kept Neville and his brother Neshvill (sheltie, tortie-wite) from the same litter. I usually do not do this, but both boys were such exceptional babies, that I could not choose...

I just love Kiss and Heluta, my two Peruvain sows. They are strong, have a wonderful coat and a cute face. I think I cannot wish for anything more...

Mirella and Rosalia are litter sisters. Their father is Eternity's Bistro, from the caviary of Liz Knutsson (Swedish Breeder of the Year 2008!), their mother comes from one of my favourite caviaries MaJa's (Holland). MaJa's Natte Poes is linebred to Keefe vom Hölkenbusch, who is also a great favourite of mine.

Stanley also arrived from Aldona (Poland). He is a huge boar with a beautiful head and great colours.

His father is MaJa's Treasure to Give, a Dutch boar from Red Rock lines. His mother, Kira von der Blumenwiese, represents some of the most prestigeous German lines (incl. Villa Gremlin).

These are the first pictures of him. Stanley is just about to start growing his coat, as the sows with him preferred the shorthair version of Stanley... :o)

Thes photos were taken today. It is my peruvian boar Don Peppino vom Wuschelland. He is 9 months old, and I think he has matured nicely in the past months.
Hopefully, he will become foundation of my small peruvian project.

A busy weekend

Last weekend was a bit like a real hotel here: lots of "visitors" arrived for a short stay.

First, it was Lajos (Wild World at Brentwood Hotel), a sheltie boar who spent his long weekend here, as his owners went on holiday.

Then, Cavatinas Kravitz, a wonderful sheltie boar arrived from Poland, and stopped for a day before going to Ioana (Impala caviary).

Ioana also sent me 7 cavies, including Impala Padmee, the beautiful tortie-white sheltie sow. She is from Ioantus vom Dreiländereck, a boar which I imported earlier. I have been waiting for her for months, thank you Ioana!!!

Impala Evening Surprise a black/tan boar stayed here shortly, too. (He is a grandson of Iontus vom Dreiländereck.) He is already with his new owner Erika (Lunabakelo caviary).

The other 5 "guests" from Impala will go to some prominent Polish caviaries soon.

Kravitz was accompanied by Don Peppino vom Wuschelland, my paruvian boar, who will spend a few joyful months at Impala, and Hundertwasser Design at Brentwood Hotel, a young texel boar who will go to his new owners in Turkey soon. We had a special party this evening. Our friends Erika and Laci moved to a new house short time ago, and invited me to have dinner in their garden. The food was great, and we had so many things to talk about: Our cavy club has a totally new board (we all resigned), and we will have lots of changes.
We had a great time in the nice garden and certainly enjoyed or meal!

Wella was among my first imports from Irene (Irene von Werne, "von Werne" caviary, Germany). A beige sheltie sow in satin. She was beautiful, a typical von Werne - I couldn't have wished for more.

She had a few litters, and was exhibited a few times: not too much, as she had the bad habit of chewing her own hair sometimes.

She was my first and only satin cavy. She lived a healthy life.
I could not see any problems, she simply did not wake up this morning. :o(

I am very proud that I could have her, many thanks Irene!

Kapolcs 2009.

Kapolcs is a little village situated north of Lake Balaton in Hungary. It is in a beautiful valley, so the area is worth visiting all year round. But Kapolcs and the neighbouring old villages organize a cultural festival in Summer each year. There are lots of concerts and exhibitions, a huge number of stands offering handkrafted products, and you can try your skills, too!
The great events, the friendly people and the special atmosphere make the place something unique.

This is a baby boar just 5 months old (!). He is the son of Brother Grimm at Brentwood Hotel and great-grandson of Mandarin Cocktail at Brentwood Hotel.

I am always very proud to see the offspring which my exports give to their new owners, but I am also very thankful that they use these animals so wisely.

I cleaned the hamsters today: the first time since the litter was born.
It turned out that there are 5 babies: one whiteface and 4 normal colour.

Cavy City at the Budapest Zoo

I regularly visit the zoo in Budapest. The management has changed the old cages in the past years, and new, modern and spaceous runs have been built, all of which consider the wellbeing of the animals. One of the latest is the "Cavy City": a huge run for cavies. I am not really for keeping pets in zoos usually, but this run is big and has lots of hiding places. There is a reasonable number of animals housed here, not a huge mass. On our visit, we could see that many different foods are offered to the cavies: vegetables, fruits, hay and greed corn. They had dringing water available at several places. There is a big indoor run, too, and the cavies can go in and out as they wish.
In fact, there are two runs: one for cavies and one for cuyes.

Mum spent more and more time in the nest, and suddenly she dropped some weight... Strange noises started coming from the nest, so it was quite evident: the first hamster babies have arrived! But it took about ten days till I could see them: now they start coming out, running around, and checking everything edible. :o)

Heluta Dior arrived a few days ago. She is well, and calm... till you touch her! Does not really want her photos taken yet, either, so all I can show at the moment are her baby photos. Thank you, Daniel!

So many things happened today...

- Long trip and a nice day spent with friends, Erika + Laci (Lunabakelo) and Ildikó + Péter (El Cobaya). I had to wake up at 3 a. m. (brrrrr....), but it was worth it. :o)

- I could meet some friends. Finally, I had enough time to talk to Peer (Wuschelland), Dorota (Caviadoro) and Liliana (Golden Cavies). It's not always easy at a show...

- Some cavies left us:
Otto Waalkes at Brentwood Hotel, the chocolate-tri texel boy went to Dorota. I wish them much success at the shows and in the caviary!
Miss Sixty at Brentwood Hotel and Argentinian Tango at Brentwood Hotel (now Mandy and Amanda!), the two red-white sheltie ladies went to Max. I hope these girls will have a pampered life which they deserve... Good luck, Max!

- New arrival! Heluta Dior, a beautiful tortie-white peruvian girl arrived from Dior caviary. Thank you Daniel!!!

- There was a big dog show in Brno, too. I could see some of my favourite breeds: deerhounds, softies, American cockers, and certainly my beloved Englich Cockers. We also could congratulate to the owner of the Best of Breed beagle: he came from Hungary!

Peruvian Babies!

After many years, the first Peruvian babies arrived this week!

4 babies (3 boys, 1 girl), all seem to have correct rosettes.

This is also our first "Wuschelland-litter", Don Peppino vom Wuschelland being the proud father!
Mother of the babies is my beautiful Impala Fine Quality.

Cavy Show in Lodz (Poland)

I spent the last weekend in Lodz. Invited by the Polish Cavy Club, I judged about 120 cavies. The show was organized under the event "Pet Fair", a big trade fair for the pet business. Several clubs were invited to have their shows there: birds, nice and rats were exhibited.

Again, my Polish friends were very friendly, exhibitors very enthusiastic.
I was fascinated by the high quality of the longhair breeds - as usual in Poland, but I could see some very nice shorthairs this time, too.

Congratulations to the organizers, the winners, and a big thanks to the club for this invitation and the hospitality!

Oldies in the Park

Our walks with the "old gang" are getting a bit shorter: Otto is 12, Dice is 9, especially Otto is getting a bit slower with age. Anyway, I still try to take them out as many times as I can, and they enjoy the trips a lot.

Sad Day: Kismet Dies...

Kismet was operated on a week ago: a tumour was removed from her left ear. She looked to have taken all the stress very well, she has been active and eating well in the past days. Her wound was healing nicely. We all thought everything went well. But this morning, I found her dead. Just a day after her 5th birthday, she just gave up...

It seems that Peruvians just "come" here - without any long planning... :o)

I got my sow "Kiss" from an exceptional litter, just because I liked her so much from her first day, and now...

But this is not a really happy story. Sabine and Peer Mannheim, my German friends stopped breeding unfortunately. It is their private decision, but a real loss to the cavy world at the same time. I saw and judged their "Wuschelland" Peruvians and Alpacas many times, and it was a pleasure every time. So, I decided that I have to have something of their lines.

Röhrsdorf 2009: Dorota's + Wendina's success!

The traditional show in Röhrsdorf (Germany) took place last weekend. I could not attend unfortunately, but lots of my friends could. Dorota (CaviaDoro caviay, Poland) showed her chocolate-gold-white texel sow Wendina at Brentwood Hotel. She must have been in great form as she won JUNIOR BEST IN SHOW (in curly longhair breeds), and her critique was fantastic (see last photo of this entry).

Yes, most of you were right to say that my new cavy is a: PERUVIAN!
I did not have any plans to start with a new breed, and I am afraid I will have no time to promote and breed Peruvians as much as "my breeds": Texels and Shelties. BUT I always have loved Peruvians, and Kiss is such a nice baby, that I could not say no to her... :o)

She is Impala Kiss for a Friend, a beautiful Peruvian sow in black-buff-white. Born from two Swedish parents, who represent the most prestigious Scandinavian lines

Show Report: Rychnov (Cz)

I was invited to judge at the show in a beautiful little town called Rychnov nad Kneznou in the Czech Republic. It was a great weekend and an honour to judge such nice cavies at such a big show. I could meet some old friends and also new ones, which made a great time there.

I would like to congratulate and thank all people who took part in organizing the great event!

I brought my new tortoiseshell-white shelties home this weekend.
They represent qualities and pedigrees which I just need. :o) They hopefully will grow as promising as they are now as babies.
Their breeder is Aldona Czerniekowska (Poland).

I had some Roborowski hamsters as a child, and the were great: small, funny, easy to care for and incredibly cute.
I found some of them at the show in Rychnov, and bought a pair again. I was very pleased to find the "whiteface" colour, which I had been able to see only on the internet before.
My new pair consists of a "normal" male and a "whiteface" female now.

Something Special...

This is one of our new babies "Hello". Her full name is Lunabakelo Halloween.
She is a black/tan-red-white tricolour sheltie (with a little white on her shoulders). She is just a few weeks old, and a bit difficult to photograph... :o)
Hopefully, she will become the foundation of a new project in tricolor tans.

I received a very promising baby today. She is Blue Sky Christina, a little red-white sheltie girl, looking great and having a perfect pedigree.

A Tribute to Mandarin

I just noticed a nice surprise on Irina's site: a short tribute to "Mandarin":

You can see his photos and read his story there. The text is in Russian, so maybe it helps if I write a few lines here, too... :o)

Mandarin Cocktail at Brentwood Hotel (red-white texel) was born in 2005, and went to Irina Biletskaya (Piki Kvik caviary). He was a very promising baby, and I think we had a good eye for that: he had a great show carreer in Russia. Also, he produced several nice babies, his children and grand-children live in many caviaries.

His line (parents: Berlusconi at Brentwood Hotel - Chrissie von Piccolinos) is what I frequently use in my caviary: Berlusconi has had a great influence, and Mandarin's full sister (from a later litter), Xtra Piccolino at Brentwood Hotel still produces excellent offspring.
One of her youngest sons, Brother Grimm at Brentwood Hotel (father: Berlin vom Hölkenbusch) has just left to Irina to follow the steps of his uncle Mandarin after producing some very interesting litters here.

I am very greatful to Irina for taking such a good care of Mandarin, and promoting him so successfully. I wish her all the best with Grimm!

I received this photo from Erika (Lunabakelo caviary) today. It is Lunabakelo Regina, a black otter sheltie sow. I am very proud of her, as her mother is Hope and Darkness at Brentwood Hotel, a black texel sow (based on our imports from Irene von Werne and an English boar).

Rammstein left the Hotel

Rammstein went to my friend Ioana last weekend (Ioana sent me the below photos already. Thank you!). After spending 2 years here, Rammstein will support the Impala cavies.
His full name is Austrian Peruaner Rammstein, imported form a caviary which unfortunately stopped breeding lately. I am very pleased with his pedigree: made up from Dreiländereck and Hohen Stein cavies, he is also grandson of my favourite MaJa's Yaris.

Skinnies at the Hotel!

We had special guests for a few days. Two skinny ladies arrived here last Wednesday. They spent a few days with us, just to relax after the long journey from Moscow. They looked really unaffected by the changes: they were calm and eating well. :o)
They made the second part of their trip yesterday, and arrived to their new owner Susanne Frank in Germany. Good luck to these great animals, Susanne!

Sad Sunday: farewell to Reddie...

After years of trying to manage her sore pad on her right front foot, we had to give up finally... Reddie started having constant pain, so I decided to spare the long dying. So, it was our last trip to the vet today...
Reddie has a special story. I never wanted to breed Peruvians. Although I adore this beautiful and noble breed, I have never had enough room, time, etc. to start another breed - in addition to my beloved texels and shelties. In 2001, no real Peruvians existed in Hungary. Some friends of mine wanted to start them here then, so we went to Austria to look around. It is a difficult breed, we found lots of mediocre and faulty animals. BUT then we found a perfect little red mop! Yes, it was Reddie. My friends did not want to buy one only animal, because one animal is not enough to start a new breed, you know... But I was so pleased to see a perfect Peruvian (it was not the same situation as it is today!), that I did not want to leave her there... so, Red Royal vom Mozartweg moved to the "Hotel".
It was a pleasure to show her, she did lots of winning, and she also had a few litters later.
She had a great character: always calm and nice to other cavies.
Thanks to her, I will always love Peruvians, and it is a pleasure to me to see the quality present here nowadays.

Can you remember the perfect cavy palace waiting for Wafer at Bentwood Hotel a few entries earlier? Well, Wafer lives there already, his name is Dönci now. His family picked up his new friend today: Alex at Brentwood Hotel also will live with the Bajnóczi family from now on.

I received a nice surprise this week: Marta sent me a copy of her new book. She is an expert on cuys, and as far as I know this is the first book ever dedicated to the "giant" cavies.

Keesha: the latest addition to our dilutes

She is Impala Keesha, our latest import from Ioana (Impala Caviary, Romania). A really nice girl, continuing the lines which I trust and appreciate: with Irene's "von Werne" lines on her father's side, and with Ikon, one of my best dilutes (from my earlier imports - also partly from Irene) as her mother.
Keesha will live with her co-owner Katalin. With Keesha, a series of imports is completed. We don't have anything else to do now, but to hope for babies in diluted colours again... :o)

Veyron Pompon

This is our new boy Veyron. He comes from Poland, although his parents are Swedish. I hope he will help us further improve substance and hair quantity. Veyron will join Stacy and Stacy's children to represent that special "Swedish touch" which I have been adoring for long.

Judging: sometimes hard work, sometimes fun...

Last weekend was a bit intense: I was sitting next to our judge, Helmut Sakac, and wrote his critiques for two days. Not an easy job, but great opportunity to learn, especially that he applied the EU standards and system of judging. Many thanks for him for his trip to Hungary!

Also, I would like to say a big "Thank you!" to my boss, Attila, for his support of our club.
