Last baby photos

These are the last photos of Félix's first litter, before going to their new homes. "Chance" will stay with her breeders, the others are off already. We wish them and their owners much joy and fun - at least as much as father Félix brings us here. :o)

Weekend with our Kennel Club

We spent a great weekend at the international dog show in Budapest: our cavy club had a stand there - thanks to the kind invitation of our Kennel Club. We erected and decorated a tent, displayed some animals to represent how various our breeds are, and handed out many leaflets about the activities of the club and the proper care of cavies. We met many of our "old" friends from the dog world, and got several new contacts, too.

Indigo

I received a very nice photo today: it's Indigo Blue at Brentwood Hotel (Austrian Peruaner Enipheus - Ice Ice Baby at Brentwood Hotel), a slate blue - gold peruvian sow. She is almost 6 months old in the photo. She is the last peruvian baby born at the Hotel, now residing at Happy Dolls caviary. Thanks for the picture, Szilvi!

The Corn Field

This is the corn "field" along the fence in the garden. Hopefully, it will grow quick and plenty, because the cavies love the green leaves. As usually, Ottó keeps an eye on things again...

Colours of the Garden

Finally: first photo of Quentin!

Quentin finally decided that he would grow some coat, so I took the chance and the result is here. He was a beautiful baby, then he started his "ugly phase" quite early. Now, he is 4 months old and started to mature. I hope his two ladies respect that, too... :o)

First Photos of the New Generation

After many sheltie litters of the past months, some promising texel babies were born at the Hotel finally. These are the first pictures of those three which hopefully will carry on with the tortie-white colour here. All 6 parents are tortie-white, too.

Visit at Fan-Fell

After many years, I visited my old friends at "Fan-Fell" kennels today. They breed wonderful Afghan Hounds, which you can see here: www.fan-fell.hu

I could not resist the puppies... :o)

It is not easy to take photos of 10 Afghan puppies which are 3 months old, but at least some of them took a rest sometimes... :

A smaller visitor in their garden:

We could see a very rare breed here, a Saluki or Persian Hound. This baby is just a few months old, and came from Finnland to Hungary. She is not only beautiful, but has a very pleasant character, too. We wish her good luck and a successful show carreer!

11. May 2007: Up All Night at Brentwood Hotel "Upi" died... She was almost 8 years old, so the oldest cavy at the Hotel. (Her parents: Darwin at Brentwood Hotel - Black Sheep at Brentwood Hotel.)
She played an important part in my breeding, her type is what I like to see so much in a purebred cavy. She lives on in her grand-grand-grandchildren. R.I.P. Upi

The Clone: baby Félix :o)

This is Félix's son, which seems to have inherited his father's colour and good looks. :o)

Frida's haircut

Frida's hair was cut today. She really needed that, especially that Summer is comming. We always try to push the trimming date as long as we can, because she hates that, but today she was very brave. :o) The photo shows her relaxing after the procedure.

Cage Cleaning Day

We had a special club meeting today: our show cages really needed a cleaning and some rust removal. 10-12 club members came together and did the job. And we had fun during the day, too!
